Soufan, who as an FBI agent interrogated <SPAN id="lw_1242251604_17" class="yshortcuts">Abu Zubaydah</SPAN> in 2002, disputed statements made by <SPAN id="lw_1242251604_18" class="yshortcuts">President Bush</SPAN> and his <SPAN id="lw_1242251604_19" class="yshortcuts">Justice Department</SPAN> that the al Qaeda operative disclosed critical information only after he was subjected to harsh interrogation tactics.
