I wonder if you care that much about freedom of speech when it comes to holocaust.

taking the risk to be named again by you "a jew" (although i hope you have read my reply to this statement of yours) - i wonder if you realize that clipmarks isn't a cheap propaganda site. if you want to try the freedom of speech on clipmarks then say what you have on your mind about the holocaust. but without repeating the missreading and lack of information and logic that you unfortunately proved commenting my clips (i friendly recommend you for the improvement of your judgment and writting such sources as "brooding persian", "turkish news", "islam in europe", "lebanese political journal", "freedom for egyptians").

A Belgian newspaper 'De Standaard' published some cartoons friday and now all of the staff received a threatening letter which states:
(own translation):
"U will die more quickly than you expect; prepare yourself for judgement day"

Also the Belgian philosopher Etienne Vermeersch has received such letters, because he stated that newspapers should run cartoons like these more often, so that muslims could get used to this idea.

acrv56,

I think I already apologized to you in that clipmark about misreading your clip! so why the hell are "YOU" "REPEATING" yourself here, and making it personal attack??

As for my comments. I'm being clear. I don't think its out of context. Its to the point, and I will continue saying what I want here, whether you like it or NOT.

MY POINT was, jews have been terrorizing the western press for ages about saying anything about them, or about the zionism. And we didn't see the same reaction from the western people, about not to (restrict) (freedom of speech) or anything else.

And not, when it comes to Islam and its most important person, you are saying its freedome of speech to insult h...

essamz, I don't mean to be antagonistic, but why is it that you can only express your anger about the cartoons through reference to Jews? Can't we keep this discussion focused on the religion that feels it has been wronged here?

jfriedland,

Because issues related to jews are the only taboos to western press. That why I use it when people claim that insulting Our prophet is (Freedome of Speech).

Also, becuase it the main proof tha freedom of speech HAS LIMITS ACTUALLY.

essamz, where and how would you place the limits on freedom of speech? who would decide that?

in addition, even if defined limits were in place, do you think that responding to violations of them by burning down buildings is acceptable?

egoldstein,

Slander, invasion of privacy, are examples of limits of freedom of speech. The same way, those restrictions were implemented, other limits can be put in place, based on the respect of others.

As for violence.. of course its not acceptable. And most of the riot that happened is pushed by political agenda of Syria and Iran.
