dmtherob says: A mother is horrified to find that a teacher that she trusted had been secretly teaching her only son about the physical world and its mechanics for almost a year. That's just wrong. What's that? What's that? Science? It's like this new fangled religion thing where you have to have evidence and stuff just to make a claim. Not only that, but OTHER people must be able to duplicate the experiment AND get the same results, in order for the claim to be considered somewhat valid. Then there's this "peer review" process where the best minds in that field have their go at it too! It's like their trying to determine if something is really true or not. It's weird. They don't have faith or nothing, just facts. I don't see it lasting very long as a religion. They don't collect money from its followers or make them believe anything that's not proved... It's requires too much thinking, if you ask me. It's just a fad. Damned rationalists and their elitist "critical thinking"!!!!!!!!! You know, some of them don't believe ANYTHING!!!!! The horror!
