and the recession is over? If the jobless run out of benefits and can't find a job, then the recession is over. Hah!

Um, what they mean when they say the recession is over is hat the system has overcome its wobble thanks to a little involuntary help. The devestation has only just begun for the folk who so generously gave of their money. You must learn to see that the System is what counts and a little collateral destruction of people's lives is a small price to pay for ensuring the onward march to prosperity and security for all. Um.

What really concerns me is what happens when the spoiled rich that lost their jobs have to take the meaningless low paying ones that are becoming scarce. I'm concerned with the crimewave that is heading our way as people accustomed to extravagances find they no longer can live their lifestyle. There will be abuse cases, murders, extortion and robberies double or triple our current levels.
Who will pay, the spouses and children, neighbors and strangers.
Watch as you start seeing more and more murder-suicides as breadwinners lose the ability to support their families. Pay attn to the psyciactric trades as more and more people have nervous breakdowns and higher stress.

As far back as I can remember there are always job losses in the 4th quarter. People are always laid off just before Christmas. We ain't seen nothin' yet. In The Great Depression Ahead, Harry S. Dent predicts that 2010 and 2012 will bring on the greatest economic and banking crisis since the 1930s. ... Home prices will have to drop 40% to 50% to get back to fair value ...and that will have a devastating impact not only on the banking system but also on our government, which will have to continue to take over these mortgages and liabilities. He also predicts that the credit bubble will continue into the 2020s much like during the Great Depression from 1930 to 1942.

The unemployment rate will certainly decline. No more free money. Back to work.

When everyone goes "back to work" will you give credit to Obama whether he is iin office or not? Ya know, in the same manner that Republicans give George H.W. Bush and Reagan the credit for the strong economy during Clinton's tenure.

Let's take a look at conservative and republican Arizona:

(2001) avg. wkly unemployment benefit = $171.48
avg. mnthly. food stamp benefit = $84.91.

Wow that's a lot of free money for Joe and Jane Office Worker and their children. Those conservative Republicans are getting rich on unemployment. And when the food stamp benefits kick-in - JACKPOT.

Why? If Obama is responsible for anything, it is legthening the recession. Recessions are cyclical. We are going to emerge from the recession. To say Obama is responsible for the emergence is ludicrous.
