jklugman says: A book by sociologist Mark Regnerus looks at how religion affects teens sexual behaviors. It looks like his results are very counter-intuitive--religious teens are just as sexually active as non-religious ones. Hat tip to Hugo Schwyzer. evangelical teens aren't less sexually active than their non-evangelical counterparts, they just tend to feel guiltier about it. How about evangelical teens are more disciplined to confine their sexual activity to an environment that is both personally healthy AND beneficial to themselves and society? More brainwashing to give *permission* for unbridled and wantoned sexual behavior and to put down any attempts to instruct our young people in how to maximize their potential for marital and sexual happiness. Guilt. The ultimate tool of religious control. how is guilt "healthy AND beneficial" jaftla? Oh wait.. you blocked me because you can't stand to hear someone else's opinion... |
