I don't buy the "it's purely coincidence" argument. The phrasing of the letter is too awkward to have happened naturally, IMO.

<P>The author of the Assembly Bill 1176 is Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, who recently shouted out “<A href="http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/nov05election/detail?entry_id=49163">You lie!</A>” to Schwarzenegger at a public event.
