This was very interesting. Anyone taking this or knows of someone who is? Wonder how it would interfere with other drugs.

Jatfla, St. John's Wort can have serious side effects if taken with other medication.

After years of concern, a recent study determined St. John's wort affects the metabolism or breakdown of at least half of all drugs, reducing their effectiveness.

It shouldn't be taken with MAOI antidepressants. It has been a preferred trteatment in places like Germany and France, where it has undergone clinical trials, for many years. (Elsewehere, in the UK and possibly the USA it comes under food supplement legislation, I think, so maybe the positive scientific findings are less widely known). It is important to treat it as an active substance and to check out all interactions with any medications, but if you aren't on other medication at all I think SJW is probably fine for mild to moderate depression.
