It does seem he is turning into a Jim Jones.. I suppose FAME will do that to a guy..

His street magic is cool though, cool enough to not have to do stupid crap like drowning yourself.

The 2 tricks that were shown that night really maks you wonder though, not knowing who watched.. but he pulled apart those prison bars, where as "Big Black Tyrone" could'nt budge them... and pulling the tooth from that girls mouth, and blowing it back in... weird stuff...

I may be in the minority on this one .. but I really enjoy watching David Blaine and have a lot of respect for him. His underwater stunt was set on breaking a record and he exercised so much discipline training for the event, no wonder he was devestated. I mean, he's not curing cancer, but I find his stunts no less intriguing than sports. He's a great entertainer.

And yeah MyStuff, the pulling the teeth out bit was pretty intense.

I admit I missed this one, but i'm with you ericw.. If we're a minority, so be it!

I sincerely hope that we will not now/in the future ever discover that taxpayers' money somehow went towards his stunts (equipment, staff, medics, insurance, etc). I just don't see the sports/impressive aspect of in hanging 24x7 underwater. I mean, fish got that covered 365 days a year.

hmmm.. can't explain it, but i'm with ericw and djkraz....it' snot that i'm so 'into' him, but the other night-- i was GLUED for 2 solid hours...it was amazing -- at least i thought...i totlaly get why he wants to do it again--- not b/c he devasted people, or let people down... but b/c i'm sure it's killling him that after all the prep, he didn't do what he set out to do....i'd tune in if he did it again!
