Special note: Palin was not 8 years old during her affiliation with the AIP.

What is that quote about "Glass Houses"?

So I guess you'll also start talking about Obama's membership, ten years ago (as an adult) in the Democratic Socialist Party?

Oh, and Obama wasn't associated with Ayers when he was 8. He chose to associate with the known, unrepentant terrorist as an adult. His political career got started in Ayers' living room.

I didn't know that being a socialist was anti-American, called for the destruction of the American goverment or anything like that. And when exactly was Obama in Ayers living room?

Actually, this is well reported. It was at a local meet and greet in Chicago in 1995. Ayers is well known in Chicago local political circles to anyone dealing with educational matters. This encounter was investigated by journalists and found to be a non-event as far as any sort of relationship between Obama and Ayers was concerned. The Far Right has picked up on it in desperation to plant a seed of doubt about Obama since they desperately want to steer the campaign away from pertinent issues to innuendoes and ad hominem attacks. It's all they have left.
In contrast, Palin has as late as 2008 prepared endorcements for the AIP of which Todd once was a member.

By the way, Mrs. Annenberg, wife of the Annenberg foundation Annenberg (which funded the work Ayers and Obama did), is, according to Rachel Maddow, a big donor to McCain.

As usual, when the Far Right can't make their point on facts they rely on repetition of lies, innuendo, and rumor. They're even dragging out the old "bridge to nowhere" falsehood. They truly have no shame. We are witness to what happens when a campaign has run out of ideas, is bereft of leadership, and lacking any internal cohesion. Need I belabor the point that this is McCain's doing? No wonder that the Republican Party is in such a state of panic.

Oh for crying out loud, all of you. I am an Obama supporter, or would be if I was in the U.S.and quite frankly support 'our' "socialist" party here, the New Democrats, blatantly for the working person, fair treatment for all of us, god help us all eh?..but who gives a shit if Obama's 'career' was 'launched' in Ayers l/r or in the back of a truck! It's what he is doing and saying now that counts, and I don't think he was EVER 'for' bombing or violence or any of the stuff that Ayers is or was 'for'..really that should be the point if there even is one to this inane and desperate attempt to discredit him in some way by his association with this guy. I could certainly never run for any office ev...
