2006</div><p></p><div class="StoryBody"><!--startindex--><b class="Dateline">MODESTO, Calif. -- </b>He's being called the youngest car thief in Modesto's history.<p></p>      Police say an 8-year-old boy took the keys to his teacher's minivan out of her purse, walked out of class and drove home safely after school Monday.<p></p>When the third-grader pulled up to the home of his parents in the Dodge Caravan, a neighbor saw him get out and called police.<p></p>      The boy -- whose identity was not released -- told officers he just wanted to drive around for a while.<p></p>In order to operate the Dodge Caravan, he raised the driver's seat, lowered the steering wheel, adjusted the rearview mirror and turned off the radio.<p></p>      No charges have been filed, but the 8-year-old has been suspended from school.
