I've learned that this election is about the heart of America. It's about the young people who are losing hope and the old people who have been forgotten. It's about those who have worked all their lives and never fully realized the promise of America, but see that promise for their grandchildren in Barack Obama. The poor see a chance, when they often have few. I saw hope in the eyes and faces in those doorways.

My wife and I went out last weekend to knock on more doors. But this time, not because it was her idea. I don't know what it's going to do for the Obama campaign, but it's doing a lot for me.

Now if only more conservatives couldn't get it like this man has. Even if he doesn't end up voting for Obama, he's seen the spirit of America that is behind Obama's surge; the sentiment that people are tired of only the rich and the lucky few managing to live the American Dream. He has seen typical Americans, for once in a very long time, having hope in the future.

regarding the bigger tax bill:

"Relative to current tax law, the Obama plan would reduce taxes for low- and moderate-income families, but raise them palpably for high-bracket taxpayers. By 2012, middle-income taxpayers earning between roughly $40,000 and $70,000 would see their after-tax income rise by about 5 percent. Those in the top one percent, with incomes in excess of approximately $600,000, would face a 1.5 percent reduction in after-tax income. McCain would lift after-tax incomes an average of about 3 percent for middle-income taxpayers by 2012. But, in sharp contrast to Obama, he would cut taxes for those in the top 1 percent by more than $125,000, raising their after-t[b]...

"My wife made me"
What a spineless loser. One's spouse doesn't MAKE you do anything, ever. YOU decide what to do or not to do.

You can also decide to let her have half of your stuff, plus whatever you paid your lawyer. At least houses are cheap, because you going to need to move, and fast.

napster can't see the forest, he got impaled on a tree.
Other than that, how'd you like the point of the story?
Throughout the last several months, it never ceases to amaze me how much avoidance of the issues the McCain camp and supporters rely on to make their case. And then there's Palin....

Won't have to. Been happily married to the SAME woman for over 25 years and counting. More than I can say for the half the divorced idiots in the world today. My wife and I each make our own decisions and also respect each others choices. So when you or anyone else tells me "I have to do something" I laugh last.

Obama gives the country hope and inspiration. One thing for sure is he sure has his work cut out for him and whomever he chooses for his administration. They sure have a full plate. The country as far as I can see has spoken when and if he is elected because the country is ready for a change. If elected he sure has a bag of snakes to deal with. I figure the best thing I can do to help is give him my support as President and stand behind him!

Did I say "you have to do something"? No I didn't. And I was talking about the people in the clip. Frankly I don't care about your marriage one way or another, Napster. More power to ya, I guess.
