Michael Westen, a highly trained American secret agent receives a “burn notice” for an unspecified reason from his superiors. Effectively, Michael is fired. Michael was cut off without a penny or without any other resources and flagged as a bad risk for any other Government agencies. Penniless, Michael returns to his hometown in Miami and tries to get his life in order.
