I keep thinking that the distance between us, and what we see, means that by the time the light has reached us, most of the objects have evolved, or even been completely reformed. Enough to make you wonder What do they look like now. What would the universe look like if we could see it all in real time. Perhaps in the future (relatively speaking) we might find a way to find out.
Then what surprises scientists now will seem trivial.
A big question, the answer to which may be discovered with a means of travel, is if we manage to reach another distant star how long would it take for news about what was found to reach Earth (Subspace?)- Under the skin of the 4 Dimensions.
