revenantdm says: Hemingway was an amazing man - a rare talent. Sometimes happy, sometimes morose but always entertaining We may never know what made him decide to take his own life (outside of despondency), but we can learn from the ultimate "tough man.' Hemingway's Cabana is still preserved as it was in Cubs. He was a personal favorite of Fidel Castro and a cultural icon to the people of Cuba. “The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.” love this one, thks for the clip No problem. I was stumbling around and found this blog. Hemingway is not one of my favorite writer's but he was a helluva guy! He did things that others only dreamed of. and all because he was trying to conquer hid own fears. He took it to the extreme as for him there were no half-measures. TY for the compliment. 5. Do. Fail. Learn. Do.“The first draft of anything is shit”How true, but failure is the best teacher. If we had not pulled ourselves up when we first fell while learning to walk, we would have never learned... I guess we of the computer age can paraphrase him: "Retry, Fail, Abort." Experience is not just the best teacher it really is the only teacher with merit to survival... everything else that was or is not learned from instinct or experience is non-essential to survival... I am open to rethinking my position if any care to show me my error. |
