The "sign of shame" idea seems to be spreading!

Humiliating her own daughter... hmm. Nice.

I don't think jail or prison could be considered any less humiliating and we use that. Little kids get sent to the corner or timed out or grounded or whatever and I'm sure that's a bit humiliating too, but isn't THAT the whole idea? Isn't shame a good and cheap deterrent to let the person know, what is and isn't acceptable? I myself think this is a perfectly fine idea and cheap too.

Nothing else seems to be effective, so why not give it a try. Just no "scarlet letters" or "stocks"

I really like this idea for Bush & Chaney -- I could get into creating signs for them. lol

Hmm - I have to admit that I feel a bit sorry for this girl, it's quite a harsh punishment, but it sounds like she learned her lesson.
