and if you listed to the Democracy Now interview of him he made it clear that the Democrat leadership in Congress, including Pelosi and Obama, never invited him to testify and gave him the cold shoulder, with only the exception of Dodd.

Yep. Here's part of an email I got today from Sen Tom Harkin:
That is why I could not support the bill that passed Congress. The bill does not adequately protect the privacy rights of Americans. Millions of law-abiding Americans communicate with foreign relatives, friends, and business colleagues every day. Unfortunately the bill lacked important protections for these citizens' rights. I was also troubled that the bill will have the effect of providing immunity to telecommunication companies that knowingly participated in the President's illegal spying of American citizens.
