Except for the "Vich" and the "Ven", that could have been an Irish person talking!! We don't pronounce our "th" properly

Ye, in Irish the 'h' silences the letter preceding, often a t. So McGrath is pronounced like McGra.
This appears to happen even to non Irish speakers.
A fada is the opposite, putting emphases on the letter example bán (woman)
The prefix Mc or Mac or Ó indicates the son of.
Ní indicates daughter of and is increasingly used again.
