The REAL Napster
China has one of the WORST track records on the planet when it comes to respecting the value of life, I'm afraid. The most recent (besides this) was the government backed killings of thousands of pets.

People complain about buying products or clothes from sweat shops in other countries, yet they buy everything else from China.

"Many" of the targeted were Christian. There was no attack on Christians as the title suggests. Let's be clear on that. And World Nuts Daily is hardly a reliable source.

If it's true, then I would hope the international media crawls all over this horrendous thing. If just WND is carrying it, I tend to disbelieve.

wiccantexan, come on. I realize Worldnetdaily to you is just some right wing tech newsrag not worth even reading, but, if you look and do some research, a lot, not all, but a lot come from outside sources, other than the staff of their website.

I don't trust any source that is extremist one way or the other, left or right. When I posted, my Google search had turned up exactly two other sources, both Christian sites. I was looking for others.

In good faith, I'll check again this afternoon.

5 sources. WND, 2 Christian sites, am automated news headline-grabber and a pro-life group. Why isn't anyone else picking this up?

Addendum: If this is truly occurring, I want the word out. It's just that the "news" is only coming from very select sources.

Again, this is not a new story, it is a recurrent problem that takes an attention span longer than that of the MSM to follow. It's just like the genocide in Sudan, just b/c you don't see it on ABC every night, doesn't mean it isn't happening. It's just that the 5 sites you list care about the issue, so they keep the spotlight on the atrocity. Conversely, ABC chooses to spotlight the story of the day. You know, like who fathered Ms. Smith's baby.

Serious human rights violations against women and girls continue, mostly as a result of the enforcement of the one-child policy and a cultural preference for males over females. The shortage of women and girls in rur...

In HRIC's oral intervention before the Committee on August 7, 2006, executive director Sharon Hom noted that the implementation of the Convention is seriously impeded by the lack of transparency and the control of information. "By classifying statistics on kidnapping and trafficking, induced abortions, infanticide and the gender ratio as state secrets and denying this information to civil society actors, these actors cannot actively or effectively contribute to the promotion of women's rights in China. All these factors undermine the ability of the Chinese government to build meaningful partnerships with both local and international actors in forming relevant and useful solutions for the a...

Last year officials initiated a forced abortion and sterilization campaign against women in Shandong province who were deemed ineligible to bear another child under China's strict family-planning policy.

Several health workers have been arrested in Shandong Province in the east of China after the authorities admitted that local officials had been forcing women to have abortions or undergo sterilisations.

Sources in Linyi City and its surrounding counties claimed that up to 120,000 women had been coerced into submitting to the procedures and that some of them were in the ninth month of their pregnancies.

First, you complain that this news is only coming from "nuts". Then, there is too much back up data posted. I think you merely enjoy complaining.

Well, everyone needs a hobby. But I do see your point; I just wasn't in the mood to read a lot of commentary that day. Friends?

"Friends?"

Of course. What's a little friendly jabbing between friends?
