Education about the brain and neuroscience is very important especially in the light of mythologies not only about its biology but also those associated with ideological claims on 'human nature'.

On Brain Myth #1 i recall someone pointing out that you never hear a doctor say "Sir, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that you've been shot in the head and your brain is damaged. The good news is that the damage was to the 90% you don't use so there will be no noticeable effect"
