Funny thing about McCain. Aside from the voting history, McCain became more "Bush-like" and/or "Far Right Leaning" as a Republican than he's been during his political career, for the most part.

he's no maverick but rather a follower of the piper to whom he is pledged (oh, pledges made to his everyday constituents and supporters don't count for McCain).
