I may be pro-gun control (in this country) but because every now and then the subject of Gun Control comes up I thought I'd just pop this article on. I'd say its a better argument than most conservatives can come, at least its got more style than any of them can ever hope to have.

It's too bad that these days true showmanship has all but been forgotten in the music business. Pop stars like Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey and Brittney Spears seem to actually be smaller than life, rather than larger. Their theatrics are hollow and contrived, and no matter how much we disparage them, they always prove to be shallower than we expected.

I can't help but feel we've lost something valuable, an authentic American musician, in R.L.Burnside.

I was lucky enough to see him play in Australia 6-7 years ago. Great time.
