debbyski says: “Say it ain’t so, Joe! There you go pointing backwards again ... Now, doggone it, let’s look ahead and tell Americans what we have to plan to do for them in the future. You mentioned education, and I’m glad you did. I know education you are passionate about with your wife being a teacher for 30 years, and God bless her. Her reward is in heaven, right? Aw-shucks, darn-right, I’m-just-a-hockey-mom governor of Alaska mouthing something completely devoid of meaning? If Governor Palin didn’t like a question, or didn’t know the answer, she responded as though some other question had been asked. She made no bones about this, saying early in the debate: “I may not answer the questions the way that either the moderator or you want to hear.” "Darn right" is my favorite new way to be sarcastic! But don't you feel it in her words Baby? It's not about the words. It's about the way it makes people feel inside. It's the way they felt before college Profs became "friends" instead of teachers, before 10 year olds had access to porn. It was when Uncle Sugar and Uncle Sam were the same guy and Uncle Sam was there to protect you. Civil Rights weren't abused because people still remembered what life was like without it. You could do what you damn well pleased in your bedroom as long as you kept it there. Moderation was the key to success. Its when Religion stayed in the Churches and Politics stayed in City Hall. People didn't get in your face when you went to vote. Guilt wasn't used as a we... Yeah, I feel it in her words just like I do yours; that is hate is a family value. Well tough! Gays and lesbians today are proud of who they are and expect to enjoy the same rights as straight Americans; including the right to get married and don't have to go back into the closet to make you feel more "comfortable." In any event, discrimination is always wrong and every attempt at it in this country has failed, furthermore, Palin's churches belief that you can please God by refusing to love some of His children just because they are different from you or play God by saying some people are better than other's is a church that is doomed to fail. Her words are empty and devoid of meaning o... At Sarah Palin’s old church in Wasilla, they spoke in tongues. Maybe that’s where she picked it up. Wow! I need to work on my communication skills. I did a really bad job in my last comment. Anyway, thanks for responding to my comment. I believe I actually learned something......or at least remembered something of value. |
