It's not a private school, it's a public school! If this was a parochial school I would expect this kind of furor over a T shirt that insinuates evolution, but the parents and taxpayers need to get a life--probably too subtle for them to "get" it. It wasn't promoting evolution of man, only the evolution of the brass instruments. See, this is where all this politically correct leads us--down the thorny path!

It's frigging conservative blue state Missourians hijacking the public school system and attacking science.

“I was disappointed with the image on the shirt,” said Sherry Melby, a band parent who teaches in the district. “I don’t think evolution should be associated with our school.” Assistant superintendent Brad Pollitt explained that the t-shirts were banned because they were imposing on religious views:
