And what does astronomy have to do with health care? Don't you know that everything is about health care, and children, and global warming. Astronomy just shows us planets that are much better than ours without global warming and we can't have that!

You're absolutely right there are lots of extremely important things that need funding, including pure scientific research, astronomy, health care etc.

That's one of the reasons paying tax is a privilege. Put them up, I say.
