When I was a plaintiff in an injury suit some years ago, the defendant's lawyer, speaking "off the record" (Ha! no such thing) asked me whether it was true that I was an officer in a "Pagan Fellowship". My response was that all it proved was that he knew how to do a web search and that my spiritual life was beyond the scope of the current proceedings. For this reason, I do a search on my name about once a month or so just to make sure that I can't be surprised when things like that happen. Recently, I learned that I may be a victim of identity theft by my own sister - and her daughter's parents-in-law. Fortunately, my name is close to unique. |
