My big complaint is the fact that they are slow to reach full brightness. I haven't really noticed any flickering like with the full sized bulbs, and they seem to put out a soft white light just like regular bulbs (which also vary greatly fro one bulb brand and type to another). They also seem bright enough for me once they have warmed up, and since they use less energy it is no big deal to bump up a size. My favorite thing with them is the fact I don't have to change my bulbs all the time. I hate constantly changing bulbs.
