I find that so amazing. 1000 yrs ago & they clothed themselves quite well, communicated, kept notes for posterity and history sake, etc. That said, shouldn't we have hovercrafts and jet packs by now?!! They did promise!

Maybe they were just so busy with fashion and keeping notes (read gossip) they didn't have time for the really good stuff.
