The world is struggling with the global food-, financial and energycrisis. In Holland we're dealing with virtual theft. However, I don't think this will end up in a virtual crisis, since the consequences are very real.

Will be convicted the criminals too, who betray people with hidden 0190 Tel.Nr., Internet traps or seniors who must pay things after a "free" bus tour a.s.o.?
There are gained millions of €s without punishment!
And the advocates, who squeeze this money out of the mostly poor people, are respected members of professional association of lawyers.

Only a handful of such cases have been heard in the world, and they have reached varying conclusions about the legal status of "virtual goods."

<BR /><DIV>The Leeuwarden District Court says the culprits, 15 and 14 years old, coerced a 13-year-old boy into transferring a "virtual amulet and a virtual mask" from the online adventure game RuneScape to their game accounts. 
</DIV>
<BR /><DIV>"These virtual goods are goods (under Dutch law), so this is theft," the court said Tuesday in a summary of its ruling.
