Why is the state authorizing a sectarian license plate?

I hope the Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and Atheists all protest this one and take the state to court.

Legislatures have more important stuff to do than this...

Da kool guy
Why? Who is it hurting? Are you so offended by the fact someone dare be a Christian in public? Are your personal beliefs so feeble that a cross on a license plate might be detrimental to them?

Look, as long as you can have any religious sign on your license plate then it harms nobody. So long as all religions have that same opportunity. I still do not get why you want such a fit to be thrown over it.

Because the state should be involved in promoting or advertising any religion ... not one, not all "equally"...

We're a secular republic... license plates are required by the state. Even offering "all religions" is not in line with keeping church and state "separate".

Read Jefferson's letters on the subject.
