I've had a dog come up to me from out of no where with porcupine quills in his nose. I was playing guitar when he came up and layed his nose on my knees. I had a friend get the needle nose pliers out of my truck and the dog sat there, whimpering a little, while I plucked them out one by one. As soon as I plucked the last quill from his snout he turned around and took off.
