Anyone that thinks that leaders are going to solve their problems should be avoided at all costs. Our system pours 2/3 of our budget into convincing able and productive people in their 60's that they ought to quit working and reduce the quality of their lives. Learning, growing, working and taking responsibility for our own lives are gigantic gifts. The meaning of life is beyond this material world, but active personal engagement is as close as we get in this life.

"Blame the leaders" is part of the same toxic spoiled child psychology that blames Mommy and Daddy for problems in life. Be grateful for your life and the HUGE amount of good in both the world in general, and the US in specific.

Yes, by all means, look to improve what you see as needing improvement. Spend your energy and attention within your span of influence and make sure that is perfectly positive and right as you can make it. Don't give up your personal power thinking that good depends on leaders. It depends on each of us every day in the scope of influence that we have. If all of us are doing that job, the world is getting better.
