Thanks, Hitchiker08, those are some amazing pictures. I have heard that they take very good care of the construction workers over there and that they make excellent money too. The are also negotiating with The Louvre to open another 'branch' there. Wow!

Yup - the idea is to have replicas of all the famous sights from around the world (Disneyland, Taj Mahal,Louvre, etc) so ppl don't need to go there but visit just one destination to see it all - in Dubai!
But overall cost of living is becoming expensive and you find ppl travelling daily from neigboring Sharjah and Abu Dhabi to work in Dubai.
