Well dumb-asses, as parents you have to explain most things to your kids. Kids are inquisitive. If they see something they haven't seen before or don't understand something, they're going to ask. If they see a handicapped person, they'll stare and either ask the person or their parents what's wrong with that person. They want an explanation.

There's nothing wrong with that. If the argument is that parents shouldn't be forced to explain something to their kids, should we not allow anything that a kid might ask about to be done in public?

Why does that man have one arm? Why do we have to stop at red lights? Why is the sky blue?

If this argument holds, should we basically keep kids in a little dark box so they can't s

The code of conduct -- announced before each game -- specifically mentions public displays of affection that are "not appropriate in a public, family setting." Hale said those standards are based on what a "reasonable person" would find inappropriate.
Sounds to me like they made it clear what was appropriate for anyone to be doing before the game started...
