When the person came out the other side of the earth, at what distance would he or she come out before they fell back in?
At what speed would they be going at the time of exit?

Assuming the person started exactly at ground level, the height that they would rise to on the other side would be exactly ground level. They'd basically be a mirror image of their starting position.

At the exact time when they reach this position, their speed will be zero, but they will be accelerating back towards the centre of the planet, so unless something stops them, they will go straight back down the hole and off back to the other side.

This entire article assumes zero air resistance. If it took this into account, the traveller would never make it to the other side.
