bookchick49 says: Good for him! Take it one day at a time Robin. Geez. He just recently gave this incredibly serious and open interview with Terry Gross. He was surprisingly honest about everything, but his only moment of hesitation was when she tried to push him to talk about depression (I doubt Terry would have tried so hard with anyone else), which he denied experiencing. Understandably. Anyway, good for him for seeking help. Hopefully he'll be ok. This kind of talent is fairly rare - I wish him the best! Robin Williams has been a household favorite since his Mork and Mindy days. Laughter is a shield and can often cause a very deep depression that feeds on itself. Comedy sometimes needs a tool to squeek it's way out- Alcohol is often confused as that tool because it lowers inhibitions. A mean Robin Williams is not supposed to be. Could you imagine the fun of being at one of 'his' meetings? |
