I noticed after having my cockatiel for a while that she has a "question" sound. Doesn't matter what it is, a noise outside, if I've got a towel on my head, (rare, so different) a sudden noise in the house. She's very observant. I had a cat once that was just as good as a watch dog...she would even growl at noises outside.
