merrie says: In 2000 military ballots were targeted for challenge in the famous Florida recount, and only 48% of the overseas members of the military who requested absentee ballots for the 2006 election had their ballots counted, according to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Conservatives believe that members of Congress should fight as hard for the right of our military to vote as our military has fought to allow Iraq to have a constitutional democracy. Sens. Wayne Allard (R-Colo.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas), along with Reps. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) are engaging in legislative combat for the rights of our military to vote in the 2008 election. This better pass overwhelmingly... or maybe we should just send ACORN over there. There are approx 225K soldiers in theater in Iraq, I bet ACORN could get 600K absentee ballots sent in... Well I remember the ruckus here in Fla. when the military ballots tried to be discounted. McCain and/or the GOP better see that it's done promptly because this is going to be an all-out dog-fight of an election. As before, the Country is split down the middle. So sad. We must count every half-vote  I remember well, Algore was trying to have the military mail-in vote discounted in 2000 election. .....ah...yes....ACORN the fraudulent voters org., that signs up prison inmates, dead people, etc. ACORN Sorry about that inadvertent post, merrie. You can delete it. You can delete it.No worries |
