thisnamecantbetaken says: I HAVE LEARNED that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel. I HAVE LEARNED that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe. I HAVE LEARNED that money is a lousy way of keeping score. I HAVE LEARNED that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose sides even when I don't want to. I HAVE LEARNED that if you want to cheer yourself up, you should try cheering someone else up. I HAVE LEARNED that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I HAVE LEARNED, reading what people write on desks (or clips) can teach you a lot. I picked some, that were relevant to me. There are many more at the source. Oh, and last but not least; I HAVE LEARNED never try to baptize a cat. And I have photo evidence to prove it.. . I want to see that photo, Thisname, and have a good laugh at your expense. What have I learned? An awful lot about nothing. (The truth is, the more I learn, the more I learn how ignorant I am. It's a fearful and terrible thing to be an ignoramus. I speak from experience) An "ignoramus" is not the correct word for a knowledge sponge. I think it is wonderful that for the first time since I was a kid, I have time again to learn. (Some would say it is about time). I HAVE LEARNED that just because someone doesn't love you the way youAnd that was one of the most difficult lessons of all to learn. Oh, Michelle you have NO idea the amount of photo evidence there is against me. Such a bummer my parents always had a camera ready. Haha! *LOL* I got bit and scratched so bad once, because I tried to walk up to two fighting cats, grab a hold of them and wanted to tell them "be nice to each other!" (in my sternest 6-year-old voice). I immediately regretted trying to "help" and have the scars to prove that, too. @tabs. It seems the older I get, the less I know. The more answers I find, the more questions I havee. It's never ending! Ugh. On a more serious note. I have learned that it's not such a fearful thing to communicate with people. I have learned that I will not shrivel up and die if I am criticised or verbally abused. I have learned not to be ashamed that I have a limited intellect and education. I have learned that I don't have to please everyone all of the time. I have learned to like myself. I am learning to be grateful to God for all things. Those are great lessons and a great addition to the clip. I have learnt (am learning) all those same lessons too. . God bless you, Michelle. . I have learned to scratch below the surface to find true beauty I have learned to be more patient I have tried to be more kind I have learned not to be afraid to tell those you love them now and often I have learned not to be afraid to love as hard as I can I have found (much to my delight) that others actually love and accept me for who I am I have accepted that it is ok to be me I have learned to be more patientCrikey, you are so competitive!! Always having to one-up me! My patience is running out with you, Missy! *LOL* Bugger it. Okay then. I have learned...uhm... that I need to learn to be more patient. Ha! *smoochie* . And I have not learned to quit running my brand-new favorite sweeper . . . *sigh* too little time and too much dirt *smoochie right back* And I have not learned, that the dishes won't do themselves, while I just sit here commenting... but sometimes ignorance is bliss. . Everyday you're alive, with every conversation, book you read, people you see and talk too and those you just see, every waking moment is a learning experience. And the person who claims to know everything knows nothing. And one thing for sure my daughter and her fiance are going to have to learn is; children and grandparents are natural allies. (they actually think I'll take their side over the grandchildren) It will never happen. Everyday you're alive, with every conversation, book you read, peopleAin't it the truth baby. Please consider this as a comment out of curiosity, for many things have changed since I was in a classroom some sixty years back. I notice these changes with the advent of Internet into my life last year. People don't say 'whom' anymore and you don't use 'learnt'. I had to ask you. Pleaseforgive me if am another Rip van Winkle. *pop for beautiful comments and an inspring clip!!!! I have learnt (am learning) all those same lessons too.I usually use *learnt* too, but thought I must be wrong, since everyone used *learned*, so I flip-flopped. |
