I use vinegar to clean our coffee maker. Fill the water reservoir with vinegar and then run it as you normally would of course without the coffee mix. Then run it with just water a few times.

I was told NEVER to wash the coffee maker except the coffee deposit at the bottom on top of the reservoir. The accumulation of coffee residues make coffee tastier AND the boiling of the water eliminates all bacteria, etc. so it is not unhealthy not to wash it. I am told I make one of the best cups of coffee in Cordoba
