    <H1>Amazon win: huge soya port closes</H1></DIV></DIV></DIV></DIV></blockquote><div style="height: 2px; font-size: 2px; background: #dcdcdc; border-bottom: solid 1px #f5f5f5; margin: 2px 4px;"></div><blockquote style="text-align: left; padding: 0px 8px; margin: 4px 0px 8px 0px; background: transparent; border: none;" cite="http://www.greenpeace.org/australia/news-and-events/news/deforestation/amazon-win-huge-soya-port-clo">The Brazilian Environmental Agency has closed a huge soya port in the Amazon rainforest until a proper environmental impact assessment is undertaken.
This is a huge win for the Amazon and its people because the port, owned by US grain trading giant Cargill, is responsible for shipping massive quantities of soya arriving from deforested areas of the region’s rainforest.
