An interesting comparison, I thought: my desktop computer is about 1.5GHz; that's 1.5B calculations per second.

It would take ~666,667 clones of my computer to match that supercomputer.

I left the company I worked for for many years 9 short years ago. By that time we beefed up the storage (it was was 100+ employees company) several times. When I left - the total storage, with all kinds of custom systems, tracking of various things for 35000 clients, vacationing at 21 resorts in US, Canada & Mexico, amounted to what I now carry in my shirt pocket, that can be purchased for less than $50 (2gb of storage). I realize that's storage, but still - an immense movement forward in such a short span of time.

So, the above is certainly coming, to a laptop near you and you won't have to have 666,667 closes to match it.
