blueridge says: The former press secretary in this 11/15/08 Book Fair press conference captured on CSPAN makes very clear, again, that Bush himself confessed to a conspiracy, enacted via Cheney and Scooter Libby, to ILLEGALLY out CIA agent Valerie Plame (for political vengeance) as well as the blatant lies and propaganda campaign to justify the Iraq War. Bush and Cheney, based upon this, should be tried in criminal court for treason, or the appropriate charges for breaching CIA agents identity and for deliberately lying to justify the Iraq War. THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS DOES NOT EXPIRE UPON LEAVING OFFICE FOR THESE HIGH CRIMES, WHICH ARE NOT MISDEMEANORS. It's treason plain and simple. The Constitution demands a second witness for the charge to stick. McClellan gave no indication of there being one in his comments, unfortunately. I still hold hope, though. The country was ready to impeach Clinton for getting a BJ .. but no one goes after Bush for starting an illegal war. Hrmmm...... Other issues, like Bush's clear and documented approval of torture -- an international war crime -- will guarantee war crime and other trials. This week VP Cheney and former AG Gonzales were indicted in South Texas (citizens can start a petition for indictment in several states). The judge today said it could proceed. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081119/ap_on_re_us/cheney_indicted This indictment is for corruption involved in privately run federal detention centers and the use of judges and special prosecutors by the Bush White House to target prosecutions of their enemies (Karl Rove and others also involved in this ). |
