From an email I received ages ago - memory triggered - had to share.

I am also discovering other subtle gifts of having an amplify account - I can share things friends send me via email and can find a way to share here with you. I love this one hope you do too

Celestialdancer, many times i receive emails that i'd like to share. So if a person has an amplify account, there is a way to share emails? Will you tell me more?

Hey lolli

It doesn't always work and I don't know why that is (ie. the "dead fly art" - clipped via amplify - wouldn't show on amplify but showed on clipmarks beats me???).

I can't do it straight from my gmail account, what I do is convert that particular email into a word doc in google docs which gives me the option to publish it as a webpage. I clean it up as best I can (get rid of all those fwd, fwds), publish it to the web and then clip of the web url.

I don't know how it will work with other email clients yahoo etc. Hope this helps.

Lolli

You have to go into your gmail settings.
Then click on the "Labs" tab.
Scroll down until you find "Create a Document" and "enable" and save changes.
When you open the relevant email, on the right hand side of the pane you will see the option "create a document" click that and it converts your email into a google doc. Edit it like any word doc. When you have finished click on the "Share" tab down arrow and it will give you the option to publish as a webpage. Tick automatically republish page if that is what you want and then click "publish". It takes you to the page where you will find the web page url. Click that - it opens in a new browser window and you clip like normal.

To write i...

Yeah, thanks for taking the time and making the effort to type that up for me. It does sound complicated, but i think i might try it some time, because i do get some that are just so funny you have to share.

Lolli just found out why certain pics don't clip and others do. The images of an email have to be "inline" (part of the email) rather than sent as an attachment.

There is a way around that as well, but even more complex and it would want to be something extra extra funny
