By "selfish minority" he appears to reference the neoconservatives and Israeli Lobby that have controlled war policy contrary (Iraq, et al) to what most Americans believe is right.

The neocon Nationalist talk show host Michael Savage actually attributes this gesture from Ahmadinejad (contrary to what other republicans are saying) due to Obama's pick of a militant Israeli for his chief of Staff, (per my previous clipmark). He said this made Ahmadinejad afraid of Obama, that he will not change.

Iran's leader is not ignorant of Obama's CFR and AIPAC connections either, or his Bush-like pledges (to AIPAC) to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear capabilities.
