Dubai is very appealing to me, because of the design and innovation involved in their architecture. The country is very small, so they have to be innovative due to limited space to work with(not unlike the Dutch), but they take it a bit further in thier design and form producing very aesthetic buildings that are works of art. Hell, they even built their own islands in the Persian Gulf increasing ... The parking idea is great, the design could be improved with Auto industry consultation, to allow for recharging or replenishing alternative fuels (Petrol may be too volatile to be used without immediate supervision) People will not be compelled to use alternates, but they will have less trouble with the change, the quicker they see the advantages. In cost, in increased efficiency as the alternates become mainstream, and more refined. It can be so much easier to park if there is somewhere you can hang your car on a rack being filled if you are not using it. The bus station in Dubai would seem like more of a relief compared to the heat outside. If you're going to be relieved it might as ... Correction: Dubai borders the Arabian Gulf, not the Persian Gulf. My bad! That car storage space is cool... As for the air-conditioned bus shelter, it's borderline luxury and necessity (ironic, yes?) since it gets up to about 50 centrigrade in the UAE during the summer. And that's in the shade. Add the humidex to that too. Neat expressway. There any earthquakes around there? |
