Simply mind blowing!

I have heard it said (but cannot substantiate this) that because of the resolving power involved in taking pictures of formations in outer space, that such pictures are not originally in color. Color is added in later according to how scientists think things *might* look if we could actually see them with the naked eye. So all those Hubble photos are doctored, essentially.

Whether this is true or not, one has to wonder which of these ten phenomena are actually observable and which are simply conjecture, predicted by some obscure mathematical discipline that may no longer reflect reality?
