Thanks guys, I'll be updating it by "refining" the results (into Politics, Science, Humor etc) during Thanksgiving. More or less replicate our Dashboard.

Btw, I'm (kind of) free from 23-26 Eric.

Well thanks to Invictus too! I really wish I could pop this more than once for all your hard work, Sohil. Finally a way to search for clippers!!!!

Brilliant! I've also created a Yubnub command that piggybacks on Sohil's search: go to Yubnub.org and search using the operator "clipp".
11-17-2006 6:39 PM
sohil
mousie, you can search for Clippers here too.

Try "clipper:invictus" (without the quotes) for example.

Awesome enbar, I think you mean "Clip" ?

It was on the Clipmarks Update blog, I think.

BTW, that's being indexed too.

Think of a cool name for this Search Engine guys.

Splendiferous, indeed!

I'm calling it SohilioSearch

Sohil, yubnub is quite a handy little utility if you like to use multiple search engines and prefer the keyboard to the mouse. You can find out more at http://Yubnub.org. It's essentially a command-line-style search bar.

Torley
Right on! I've been hoping for this for awhile! I hope this, or some child of it, gets integrated into clipmarks.com itself!

Sohil, this is good, thanks, works like a charm.

Is it possible to create one for private clips? I mean, can I create one for myself for my private clips?
11-18-2006 1:04 AM
egoldstein
i've already been talking to sohil about that Torley. Definitely want to integrate this into the site.

Whoa! Sohil, you're great, thanks!

I want to pop this about 10 times, is it okay?
11-18-2006 11:07 AM
sohil
Sohilio Search ? Ok. BTW, I noticed you were using Scrapbook and QuickNote. Scrapbook has the notes functionality.

Thanks enbar, I'll look into it.

No Problem, Derek.

Arifsali, email me. That's an extremely interesting concept.

POP away invictus.

I've been using QuickNote since I started using The Fox and have the tabs organized for specific text only purposes. For instance one of the tabs has Clipmarks related stuff. It's small, quick, and doesn't use a sidebar.

I use Scrapbook for whole pages, elements with graphics, some commonly used images, a folder for mp3s that I come across during the day that I review later for possible recording, and much more.

Seems your not crazy about SohilioSearch. Well, I'm sure I'm the only one using it and will switch to the official name when you come up with one.

Thanks for the great work, Sohil

Well SohilioSearch is interesting. If that's the General Consensus, then sure.

Tap, tap...excuse me...it's me, ClaireRose? New here. Could someone explain what's happening here and what it means to my use of Clipmarks, in some language that's not Computerese? I mean, I'm getting totally excited about it, but I have NO idea what's happening. Thanks for mentoring a newbie.

Thx Sohil.

Firefox Users can add this wonderful search via Smart Keywords like discribed here: http://cliplanet.blogspot.com/2006/06/clipmarks-tag-search-via-smart.html

Hi ClaireRose!

Sohil set up a customized Google search engine. If you follow y8ydlyu5gk" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this link, you can search for things on Clipmarks only. This search engine only searches Clipmarks.com, Clipmarks Blog and Clipmarks Updates.

Hope this helps you out. Welcome to Clipmarks.

OMG! Okay, yes, that's cool! Thank you, BNM! I LIKE that! And thanks for the welcome. It's a great site!

Or, Funana, for when you want to kick back with your mouse and browse independent of your keyboard, use Add to Searchbar, and or NeedleSearch, and Diigo has the most customizable search tool that I know of that isn't keyboard dependent. YubNub for when you're tied to your keyboard or just prefer it to the mouse.

Sohil, thankyou.

I've just located a clip comment thread that I'd been trying to track because, having reflected on it, I've got something to say.
