zizzy says: Suddenly, spending hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars on something other than Star Wars wasn't such a terrible idea. years ago, Wellstone carefully spelled out to the New York Times how he and his conservative colleague had joined together on the issue of mental healthcare. "There has been a personal, crystallizing experience in each of our lives. You almost wish it didn't have to work that way, that all of us would care deeply anyway about people who were vulnerable and not getting the care they need. But this kind of thing happens a lot in politics for fully human reasons." If the Republican right manages to kill healthcare reform this year, then perhaps some brave Democrat should introduce a new kind of bill -- cutting off every member of Congress from the "public option" [they enjoy]. That's silly. Almost like saying liberals believe in endless tax hikes, cradle-to-grave welfare, drive-through abortions, and that playing the victim, flip-flopping, and cut-and-running ought to be Olympic demonstration sports. But we all know that's not true. Here's a word of advice from your liberal hero, Bill Clinton. You remember him (thong, cigar, stained dress, Oval Office fellatio): "In times of crisis, it is better to be strong and wrong than weak and right." It's futile trying to explain that because libs don't get it anyway. Their problem is that they are weak and wrong. Just look as masberries and ratilfarts. Those ladies spend most of their time arguing among themselve... This is absolutely true. Conservatives are like that with almost everything. They can't stand the government, so they run for office with the sole purpose of destroying the effectiveness of government. There's a scene in an old Simpsons episode where Homer pinches a nuclear worker, causing him to drop a vial and be consumed by fumes. Lenny says "Look out! He's done for!" Then Carl says "Don't worry, the safety glass will protect us." THAT is conservatism in action. clip - Did you read the article or is your rant a knee-jerk reaction to the title? Bill Clinton is not my hero. I have no need for heroes or hero worship. |
