There are conflicting pieces of evidence on where 1918 strain originated. The DNA evidence from later studies discounted the pig origin theory.

OK, thanks for the info. The original belief I had was that the 1918 outbreak was avian in nature. I'm at the point where I don't trust any science, especially if it is highly promoted by the media and the government.
