Christ, I was tired of him back when Molly Ivins could make my jaw drop by telling tales of his Texas governorship.
And Shrub's dad was a shithead, too: Jul 3 1988 | Mistaking it for a F-14 fighter plane, the American warship USS Vincennes shoots down Iran Air flight 655, killing all 290 people aboard. Despite his country's having recklessly downed a passenger airliner while operating inside Iran's territorial waters, Vice President George Bush declares a month later: "I will never apologize for the United States of America, ever. I don't care what the facts are."

The W is his middle initial. His middle name is "Walker". It was his grandmother's maiden name.

Old money New England elites like the Bush clan often incorporate old family surnames and maiden names into their children's middle names, especially when those names carry some sort of clout.

In Australia the W would stand for 'wanker'.

Are you sick & tired of taxes? of security threats? of tyrants over-running and murdering innocents? of the charade that's called Congress? How about the bullies of the world that are trying to take us down?

Are you tired of your direct TV? Your stocked grocery stores? Gas at your gas stations? Freedom to take vacations? Business as usual in your cities? You know what I mean.

Read the news of the world. Our way of life is about to change and all you can focus on is "Bush is the cause of every bad thing that's happened in the last 7 yrs." Nope. Not true. A larger hand than his has been setting the stage for the next major chapter in history that will make WW II look like a gang fight.

Sorry, jatfla, but it was Bush and his Asses of Evil who got us into the fixes we're in. Let's start with his abandoning the search for Al Qaeda and getting us into a war with a country which had no WMDs and had nothing to do with 9/11. Then let's move along to the grift given his buddies on no-bid contracts (e.g., Halliburton), and given to Big Bidness by putting foxes in charge of the henhouses. Then let's move to his tearing down the constitution. Leaving out a lot of things, let's not forget the ill-will that floods our way from the other countries of the world.

I sure hope we don't have WWIII. For one thing, our military strength is at low ebb (again thanks to Bush). For another,...

They were "pissed off" long before Bush came into office. However, given the circumstances, the climate, the alignment of nations, technology, etc....

I am beginning to see a larger hand moving the chess pieces across the board. This wasn't a one-man operation and it's getting scary. If anyone thinks that the next person is going to have the answers and will be able to fix things is deceiving themselves and all the rest of us. The brush fires began during the Clinton administration and the lightning struck on Sept. 11

And 9/11 was also the point we really began stepping in it. Up to our knees.

Whose face do you see moving the chess pieces with the "larger hand"?

"Are you sick & tired of taxes?"
I'm sick and tired of right wingers giving my taxes to rich people instead of investing my money back in me the way representative government should.

"of security threats?"
Real ones..?

"of tyrants over-running and murdering innocents?"
Annnnnnd its back to Bush.

"of the charade that's called Congress?"
Its not a charade when its destroying Habeus Corpus under Republican control, but when Democrats raise minimum wages, raise salaries for soldiers (didn't see that on the news, did you?), and try to get Bush to be responsible in Iraq (not enough votes to override his veto) ... that's a charade? Really now?

Here's what Paul Kurtz, back on 9/18/02, had to say about it (not that others weren't saying anything, but the sheeple were quite numerous back then):
"In the current situation, as this country is ready to attack Iraq if it can get away with it, I think in one sense the country is politically illiterate. The American public has been so bludgeoned by the misinformation of the media that it cannot make wise decisions. Why does Bush have such high ratings? It boggles the mind. Why do so many people support him when he is totally incapable --- him and his administration --- of making wise decisions? Practically everybody in the world sees that, but the American public does not."[...

Hmm, maybe the double post wasn't your fault. My 4:15 am post up there was magically duplicated to the old ClipMark I referred you to in the last paragraph. Maybe I should report this to James Randi and/or the Skeptics Society...

Might this "larger hand" be the next coming of you know who? You really want this "end of the world" thing? Well, maybe it is comforting to think that Somebody is in charge!

Myself, I kind of think of GWB as that "Antichrist" guy.... you know, the bad old 666 routine.

Enough fairytails! Begone already! Fairytails is what the crazy assholes belive in when they hit the button on their little blow-up vests!

This is so stupid. Bush is just a figurehead for the government, and if you don't like what's happening, then why does everyone blame George Bush like it's all solely his fault? He's probably usually just a puppet for the people behind him making all the decisions... but it makes an easier target because one person can have faults and isn't perfect. Easier to attack when you don't like what a country is doing, but it drives me crazy when people act like it's all Bush's fault. He's not the devil, he's just a man. Get over it.

Everyone has the right to have faults, but Bush abuses the privilege...

"Bush" is actually shorthand for "the Bush administration". I'm sure you're quite right that he's "just a puppet for the people behind him making all the decisions".
"Of course, it's possible that Bush is deeply religious, whatever that means. More likely, Bush is simply an empty vessel, a hollow shell, a person of weak character and limited experience who is therefore highly susceptible to the control of a small, determined group of ideological hard-liners bent on asserting U.S. power more forcefully in the world." -- Linda McQuaig, Toronto Star, 3/16/03

I'm not sure he has anything to contribute, period. Here's his Profile and, as you can see, he's been around since 10/26 of last year and the entirety of his activity has been the comment you were just responding to. No clips, no pops, no followers, not following any clippers.

And as for the comment itself. Well... Gary, extend one arm forward in front of your face, palm down. Now move that hand over the top of your head in one quick motion. Practice in front of a mirror.

THE PASTOR
Eight years ago, we had a man that many supported.

That man George W. Bush was not qualified.

Even after four years as President, I was not impressed. He used the POWER of Money to weasel his way with another win. It took nearly seven years for Americans to wake up to the fact, that America went from Super Power to Super Hated under the not qualified to be President George W. Bush.

Even after eight years, Bush is still not material to be President.

He might be able to organize and run a feed store, or a shoeshine business, maybe peel potatoes, in other words, something where he didn't have to make many decisions. He is like the man that dug ditches by hand for...
